The king’s speech – Lines were from the 83rd Annual Academy Awards held: “. The King’s Speech” Either the vanguard of supporting the “The Social Network” or behind the extremely Oscar-y course, these things quickly to irrational arguments, but despite costumed drama and transferred to overcome representation of a disability, “The King’s Speech” is hardly the heavy maintenance portrayed by the opposition research. Director Tom Hooper moved things along intelligent, and all the major players, led by Oscar-winner Colin Firth to supply with depth and wit.
Saddled with a socially debilitating stammer at the dawn of radio, appeared to King George VI (Firth) unfit for the leadership role thrust upon it by the abdication of his brother Edward VIII (Guy Pearce). Thanks to intervention by his wife, the future Queen Mother Elizabeth (Helena Bonham Carter), he begins with Lionel Logue (Geoffrey Rush), an unconventional speech therapist to help in addition to the mechanical problems of the throne speech, break will help him to work down some of the emotional causes for his disability.
Other than a smart comment by Hooper, which are DVD extras in “The King’s Speech” less than Royal. There is an interview with Logue grandson, author Mark Logue, about the search through family records, which unearthed the story, but because he was born, died 12 years after his grandfather, there is little personal insight into the people. But a film like “The King’s Speech” does not achieve much gain or extras. As George VI Great Britain’s entry into World War II announces that the film stands on its own.
